    2024 Somerset National Poetry Award

Congratulations to Becky Silberstein who recently won the 2024 Somerset National Poetry Prize. Becky is 15 years old and won the 2024 Junior Category Award for her poem titled, UGLY Beauties.

Below in an excerpt from UGLY Beauties:

“There is a secret, guarded by artists, poets, musicians, and those alike.

If you look hard enough, in the feather soft golden grove where ideas are born, Drowning in shimmering lakes of ruby blood, and buried beneath cages of bones, This unutterable whisper, that only exists amongst us”.

    Congratulations Becky!
